Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the University on January 2, 2022. During his visit, he also inspected a display of sports equipment, as Meerut is well known for its sports goods production.

Honbl'e CM's Visit

Hon'ble Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the construction site of the University at Salawa, Meerut district, on March 9, 2025. He reviewed the ongoing construction work and directed officials to ensure its speedy completion.

First Batch Induction

The first academic session commenced on August 29, 2025, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, which is also celebrated as National Sports Day. A batch of 57 students from different states of the country has been inducted into the three-year BPES course, and their classes have already begun.
